What is
Clarivein®
The first treatment of its kind in vascular medicine, Clarivein® is a specially designed infusion catheter that is capable of rotating 360 degrees inside of deficient veins while dispersing prescription medication. This procedure is minimally-invasive, fast, and typically allows patients to return to work the same day.
During a Clarivein® procedure, a pin-sized incision is made in the skin to create a low profile of entry for the catheter device. It is smaller when compared to other vein treatments, allowing for a nearly invisible entry. This process causes minimal-to-no pain for the patient, and the rotating wire tip is precisely placed into the dysfunctional vein. Once the wire has achieved an optimal position within the vein, it is gently rotated 360 degrees, dispersing medication throughout the entire vein.
The medication disrupts the lining of the vessels, causing them to stick together and seal the vein. Underlying varicose veins can be difficult to treat with other vein removal techniques, but with Clarivein® therapy, the entire mass of the vein is effectively treated and eventually removed by the body by natural processes.
