Virtue RF is the newest generation in radiofrequency micro-needling. This FDA-cleared, minimally invasive treatment helps to stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin. How does RF Micro-Needling Accomplish All of This?
It’s a simple process: tiny, sterile needles are applied deep into the dermis of the skin, which is the layer that lies under the epidermis and is the thickest layer of the skin. These needles work to create microscopic channels deep within the dermis to stimulate natural collagen production and deliver radio-frequency heat energy that promotes remodeling of collagen and elastin to both tighten and lift the skin.

Virtue RF is Stronger Than its Predecessor, Vivace
Although the Virtue RF is stronger than its predecessor, Vivace, it provides a much more comfortable patient experience, with a noticeable difference in how the needles feel as they penetrate the skin. This is because of Virtue RF’s precise robotic motor, an exclusive robotic precision delivery (RPD) system, that is unmatched to comparative devices in the market. The insertion of the needles is so exact that there is no tearing or trauma done to the skin. Unfortunately, this can be the case with other microneedling pens or systems that may scratch the skin and cause bleeding and/or pain. Before your Virtue RF treatment begins, the aesthetician will apply a numbing cream that also contributes to this virtually painless treatment.
It is important to note that skin should be kept product-free for at least 24 hours following a micro-needling treatment. This means no make-up, no products that contain chemicals or fragrance, no exfoliants, and no products with glycolic acid or alpha hydroxy acids. Anything that could potentially aggravate the skin should be avoided. Sweating is also to be avoided, so no sauna visits or intense workouts right after a treatment. Micro-needling opens the pores, making your skin much more susceptible to sun damage, so stay out of the sun if you can. If the sunshine can’t be avoided, make sure to consistently wear plenty of sunscreen for at least two weeks following the treatment. You should always wear sunscreen as it is, but it’s even more important after experiencing micro-needling.
